My church, Calvary UMC in Annapolis, MD, is located on a creek with more than a 100 feet of shoreline. To help stop parking lot runoff, we have been slowly adding native plants along the creek to create a buffer so that any contaminants in the rainwater runoff get absorbed into the ground before reaching the creek. As a group of all women, we made sure we employed the help of our Men's Maintenance Breakfast. Not only did we get added hands, but it created an opportunity to fellowship with other members of the church
